I, like many of you, fell into the career of sales, and especially tech sales. 

 

You may know me now as @sellthatsaas. Before @sellthatsaas there was Will Padilla, I had no branding at all.

 

Quick rundown of my sales progression:

 

At the age of 19 I was asked to be an intern for a freight brokerage for a mentor of mine. That was my first exposure to the game of sales. There I was making 150+ dials a day booking truck loads under the supervision of the top reps.

 

Quickly, I realized I was good at sales, or at least I was told I was good at sales. I doubled down on having a sudden knack for selling through holding every sales job such as Door to Door lawn care services, Insurance sales, Staffing Services, and most recently, which is my favorite role of all, is Tech sales.

 

I got into tech sales roughly three years ago through, once again, a mentor of mine, coincidentally the same one I had worked under as an intern at the freight brokerage Gig. Pays to have good relationships with the right people.

 

Through the grace of God, I have been blessed with the opportunity to have attracted a following on Social media for my tips/tricks and experiences working in Tech sales.

Outside of selling software & creating content you can most likely find me at the golf course playing 18, boxing, going on hikes with friends, at Church, hanging with family, or just laying in the sun.
